Recruitment & Training
Recruitment and training focuses on developing a foundation for the present and future volunteers. Our recruitment process consists of an informational meeting in which we discuss the logistics of the program and share our experiences. Once the new volunteers have been selected, we have multiple training sessions. Our first training session introduces the new volunteers to other members in the program and provides them with the necessary skills and knowledge to work in the hospital setting. The second training session takes the new recruits into the hospital to gain familiarity with their environment. Through these exercises our shifters are able to gain a full understanding of the tasks at hand.
For our current volunteers, we are always seeking to expand their shifting abilities. As such, our most experienced members serve as shift leaders to fine tune and enhance the strengths of our shifters. It is these processes that allow our organization to constantly push the threshold of our abilities, perpetually producing passionate and hardworking volunteers.
